Saint Barnabas
by-the-Bay Church

13 West Bates Avenue, Villas, New Jersey 08251

“You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.” John 13:13-17

“Love one another. Just as I have loved you …” John 13:34
All members of Saint Barnabas Church - young, old, and in between - are its ministers. The lives we live, the prayers we offer, the sacrifices we make... All of this is ministry to others and  one another.

Office Hours:
Sorry. We are unable to offer routine office hours. We simply don’t have a regular office person and volunteers usually are helping in the food pantry, thrift store, or elsewhere. If you want to come to the office during the week for any reason, please call ahead of time, 609-886-5960. We’ll be there to meet you.

Our Mission:
The mission of Saint Barnabas by-the-Bay Church is to bear witness to God as known in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and as proclaimed through the Holy Spirit and by our patron Barnabas and his fellow apostles. We do this by:
§ Emphasizing spiritual growth through the worship of God in the Episcopal tradition
§ Providing pastoral care to make the Gospel relevant in people's lives
§ Educating people in the Christian faith
§ Responding to the needs of people in our community

A Jubilee Ministry Center:
Saint Barnabas by-the-Bay Church is a Jubilee Ministry Center.  A Jubilee Center joins in the fight against poverty and inequity and works to build up strong and empowered communities. Sharing resources, ideas, and connections makes a church’s efforts even more effective. For more on Jubilee Ministry, please click here.
