Second Sunday Worship

Each month worshippers gather together on the second Sunday of the month for SECOND SUNDAYS - a casual, contemporary atmosphere for worshipping God. We have live music, candlelight, prayers, reading from Scripture, and share in the body and blood of Christ. We create a space where all are welcome.

Second Sundays is a combined ministry of the Episcopal Churches of St. Barnabas (Villas) and St. Mary's (Stone Harbor) and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (Wildwood).

We invite all to join us for the celebration on the second Sunday of every month at The Branches - Where ALL Are Welcome!

The Branches on Facebook

The Branches is a combined effort by St. Barnabas Church, Villas, and St. Mary's Church, Stone Harbor, to bring the presence of our churches into another part of our County. Why? Because both churches believe we have something special to share - good news about God who loves us and is calling us to share that love with one another. So, we chose to establish this storefront ministry through which we hope people will catch a glimpse of what God's love can do in our lives, of how that love can transform hearts, make us new again, and restore hope to our world. The Branches is a journey into God's love and that journey takes place best in community, wherever two or three are gathered. The Branches is located in the Villages Shoppes in Rio Grande (at the intersection of Vermont Ave. and 2nd St.). Parking is available behind the Family Dollar Store just off of Rte. 47. A D'Vine Time for Coffee and Conversation

Every Wednesday and Saturday from 10 am to Noon, we offer free coffee, snacks, and conversation at The Branches.  This is not “just a coffee house;” this is a palace where the ancient spiritual practice of hospitality is honored – a time when strangers can come inside for companionship, an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, a friend with whom to share a recent joy.  Our guests include parishioners, shoppers from the adjacent This ‘n’ That Thrift Shop (a ministry of St. Mary’s Stone Harbor), and many members of the surrounding neighborhood who are isolated in the local motels which serve as government-subsidized transitional housing.

One recent visitor to D’Vine time, a vacationer from Brooklyn, NY, had this to say: “If I lived here year round, I’d be here every Wednesday and Saturday!”  Every Wednesday and Saturday, The Branches hosts between 20 and 30 guests.  We'd love to welcome you!
